The Idea Behind the Everything Spoiled Website

Short version: Spoilers don't bother me.

The idea for this website started a long time ago. Remember when "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" came out (July 16, 2005)? I remember logging into World of Warcraft that night to the words "Snape killed Dumbledore" scrolling through chat the entire night. For most people, the reaction to those 3 words from everyone online was pure anger and outrage because the book was now "ruined." My reaction was very different. Those 3 words actually made me want to read the book. I wanted to know how it happened. Was Snape a bad guy all along? Was it a oopsie? Something else? Honestly, by the time this book came out, I was ready to give up on the series already. "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire" was where the series peaked as far as I was conderned. If it wasn't for that one spoiler, I probably would have stopped at that book. Instead, with just one book left afterwards, I finished the series.

The point of this website isn't to ruin the enjoyment of books or movies or whatever for people. It's an outlet to explore the big twists in a story. There will be spoilers, but honestly, by the time you see it on this website, the movie, book, etc. probably has been out for months, if not years already.

And if you didn't know that Snape killed Dumbledore by now, wow... just wow. ;)
